Buccal massage is a sophisticated technique where the therapist works outside and INSIDE the mouth to better access the buccal fat pads and facial muscles. Fat pads have a major part in the aging process. When they migrate down and to the center of the face due to gravity and stress, they create nasalabial folds, puffiness, and heavy looking mid/lower face. The goal of Buccal massage is to open up the face and release the tension that is bringing the muscles to the center of the face.
~ Opens, lifts, and contours the face
~ Lymphatic drainage and de-puffing
~ Releases jaw tension and improves TMJ issues
~ Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
~ Detoxes and gently exfoliates skin
~ Boosts collagen and elastin production
~ Can release trapped emotions
~ Buccal is a non invasive alternative to Botox and fillers
~ After 1 treatment you can see visible results, but 8-10 weekly treatments are recommended for maximum results
~ Botox and fillers offer instant results but with more risk:
Botox is a neurotoxin that blocks signals from nerves that make muscles contract. By paralyzing muscles, it may also affect brain stimulation and reduce the amount of impulses from the area the Botox was injected.
Since it’s a toxin, there can be consequences to the immune system when a foreign substance is injected into the body.
Fillers that add volume to the face can also negatively affect the immune system, lymphatic drainage, and blood circulation. They also tend to migrate, and do not fully dissolve years after they were injected.
All types of injections can provoke fibroses. Mild to severe side effects of Botox and fillers include flu like symptoms, redness, itchiness, swelling, inflammation, scarring, drooping eyelids, uneven mouth, muscle weakness, and damaged nerves.
Buccal Massage is not recommended if you have any of the following:
~dermatitis
~thyroid issues
~oncology
~any chronic disease in its acute stage
~initial stages of herpes
~infections
~severe acne
~recent injections, surgeries, or threads (at least 2 weeks from last injection and 3 months for threads)
